FAQ
Questions buyers ask us.
Cost, timelines, compliance, who owns the code. If yours isn't here, ask it on a free call.
How much does custom software development cost?
It depends on scope. After a free scoping call we give you a fixed price for a defined project, or you can hire a dedicated team from $32 an hour per developer with QA included. Fixed projects can be paid in installments over 3 to 12 months.
How long does it take to build a web or mobile app?
A focused first version usually takes 8 to 16 weeks: one to two weeks of discovery, two to four of design, then two-week build sprints. Our case studies range from 8 weeks for Safe Dig Indiana to 22 weeks for FirstService Residential.
Do you build AI and LLM applications?
Yes. We build assistants grounded in your own data, AI agents that complete multi-step tasks with human review, and document and workflow automation, using OpenAI, Anthropic and open-source models.
Can you help us get SOC 2 compliant?
Yes. We run a gap assessment, put the policies and technical controls in place, set up evidence collection, and support you through your Type I and Type II audits, alongside your engineering roadmap rather than instead of it.
How do you lower an AWS bill?
We start with a line-by-line audit of your spend, then rightsize instances, move steady workloads to Savings Plans or Reserved Instances, tidy storage and data transfer, and review AI and GPU usage. Changes are made without risking uptime.
Can your developers join our existing team?
Yes. Dedicated developers and designers work in your tools and on your hours, with daily updates. Contracts start at 3 months and rates go down on longer terms.
Who owns the code and IP?
You do. Everything we build for you, including source code, designs and documentation, is yours, and we sign an NDA before any project details are shared.
Where is Appsians located?
Appsians LLC is a US company registered in Sheridan, Wyoming, with our engineering centre in Lahore, Pakistan. Our offshore team is how we keep senior engineering affordable.
What technologies do you use?
React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Laravel and PostgreSQL on the web; Flutter, Swift and Kotlin for mobile; OpenAI, Anthropic and LangChain for AI; and AWS, Google Cloud, Docker and Kubernetes for infrastructure.
Still have a question?
